{Production Time}
All leather/metal wire orders can take 1-2 weeks to create. Please understand that handcrafted takes time. Every forged and/or leather piece is made from start to finish, and work only begins after you order the piece and payment has been received. These are not mass produced by any means, but hand crafted & made to order for each customer.
{Rush Order Upgrades}
All forged/leather orders ship in about 1-2 weeks; email shopslant@gmail.com if you need to arrange for a Rush Order upgrade to have it sooner. Cost of the upgrade is determined by where it's going, and how fast it needs to get there.
{Shipping & Delivery}
....The Part That USPS Plays.
Orders are submitted to USPS after the above noted {Production Time}.
Once the USPS has your package:
Standard shipping for this shop is USPS First Class,
which the USPS estimates to take 2 to 5 business days within the US.
Outside the US, they estimate 21 business days to deliver, depending on location
Please Understand...
Delivery times are determined by the USPS - not Slant - and are subject to their terms of use & service.
{Gift Wrap & Enclosure Cards}
Make your gift complete with gift wrap and/or a small, hand written enclosure card.
{Custom Jewelry & Accessory Orders}
Custom is what it's all about! Every design can be purchased as seen, or used as a jumping off point to create the perfect piece suited just for you.
I personally hand cut and assemble all leathers. I also create metal wire pieces, forged ear wires/hooks and metal wire wrapped pieces. Each leather and/or wire piece is unique & slight variations are expected but are not seen as defective. If by chance your custom request lends to a variation of my original design, please note that the end product will not appear as seen in the listing.
Please note that leather and/or wire pieces are not eligible for refund or return, when the order is filled per customer request.
{Jewelry & Accessory Size Information}
Each of my listings will include full details on sizes and lengths. Please be sure to double check this information before submitting your order.
Necklaces are usually a 19 inch long chain, unless otherwise noted.
Custom lengths on any leather and chain are available, just drop me a line.
{Metal Care}
Slant metals are not impervious to water, and will tarnish or damage with wear depending on the PH of the body, and the circumstances of daily conditions. In the shower, pool, prolonged sun exposure, contact with lotions, perfumes, etc... Such exposure can allow for the metals to diminish in appearance over time, sometimes this adds a new element to your jewelry, sometimes it doesn’t.
To freshen up your metals, I recommend using a superfine piece of steel wool on the surfaces very lightly.
{Leather Care}
This wearable art may make you feel like a superhero that can withstand even the toughest of elements, but please remember it is after all, genuine leather. Exposure to water/moisture will shrink, warp, distort, and stain any and all leathers.
{Leather Quality}
I hand pick my suppliers to ensure that only the safest, best quality leathers are used. Traditionally, they are American made and processed with only vegetable or water based dyes. Occasionally, I'm able to acquire premium quality or Limited Edition imported leathers as well. In all cases, Slant leathers are free of harmful pvc coatings with phthalates, chromium, lead, chemicals, harsh processors, and are perfectly safe for anyone, as they adhere to a high standard of treatment and production quality. Colors are represented as best possible, though they may differ a bit with monitor settings.
Slant leathers are always of the highest quality, or I won’t put my name on it.

I have always loved making jewelry. I started making my own in high school. A few years, I inherited a dresser full of beads, wires, string and gems from my grandmother. My grandmother loved all kinds of crafts but especially beading. Her supplies had been patiently waiting for me to bring them back to life. Thus, Slant Design was born. I love bringing together classical and contemporary design elements. You'll see simple, minimalist, clean lines running through my collections. Most of my jewelry supplies have been reclaimed or re-purposed. Don't worry, that doesn't mean they are used or someone else has worn them. It means, I've gathered new supplies from other artists, from friends, from my grandmothers stash, that would have, otherwise, been thrown out. Then I combine these with quality, artisan jewelry findings and materials to create wearable works of art.
I am a one woman-owned, small business. When you purchase jewelry or gifts, you are supporting a local business and your money is going back into the community, usually via gymnastics, swimming, orchestra or coffee. Thank you for supporting my business, my kids and my coffee habit.

Shop Owner
I am a native Oregonian, living in the heart of the Willamette Valley. I have loved art my whole life, whether it be painting, jewelry design, or architecture. Blown glass art, however, is my favorite. While, I have dabbled in all those mediums, I set all my art aside for many years to help people as a pharmacist. After being at home with my children, I found myself drawn back jewelry design and needed to find new creative outlets.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two daughters, and two energetic (80 pound!) puppies. When we’re not exploring the coast, we enjoying playing board games and cooking as a family.
